About SARA NY.
The Society of American Registered Architects (SARA) was founded in 1956 to provide a professional society for all who carry an architectural license, regardless of their role in the building and designing industry, and to allow those individuals opportunities to unite as a common voice to work together for the betterment of the profession as well as the advancement of all mankind and sustainability of the environment. The Society’s motto is "Architect helping Architect".
SARA’s New York Council offers a variety of membership benefits and services, including an annual Design Awards Program, regular continuing education seminars and networking events, a study group for associate members who are preparing to take the ARE Exams. Members also gain from professional recognition among peers, design expertise referral, personal involvement at all levels within the Council, camaraderie among fellow members, and individual achievement recognition.
